December brings Methodrone back to the studio to continue working on new songs for 2010. Stay tuned for more details!!
After spending the remainder of day 4, and the rest of Day 5 mixing, listening, mixing, listening (repeat x10), we have finally reached completion. The tracks have been shipped off to the label, and we are now focusing on creating a continuous play mix for the songs.
Slow it down & Out there floating… on the agenda for today.

Headed out to a retail outlet in soho and tried the album out on 7 different sets of speakers.
Sounds Great!
Taking a moment to celebrate.
Day 4 builds on the awesome success of yesterday. Today we were able to put the final touches on 5 of the 7 songs that we are releasing. Tomorrow looks like it will be ultra productive as well.

On April 1st, NYC guitarist Jerry Fuentes joined Methodrone to record some guitar on a few songs. We spent a few hours in the studio and had a blast. Jerry came in totally blind, and blew us away by experimenting on what we believed were songs that lent themselves to a different sort of vibe than we had previously worked on.

Jerry lent his guitar skills to the following songs:
Sundown on Mariposa (dancefloor)
Entry Level (chill)
Working title of ‘Electro Synthy’
We couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome, and look forward to getting these songs finished for the world to hear.
This will be a really good view into the direction where we believe Methodrone is heading!!!!
Today we began the final recording of our debut release, and was it a great start. We were joined in our New York writing studio by Grammy Award winning bass player Bernie Minoso who joined us in the studio for a day of tracking additional low end for 5 tracks that will be released soon. We are thrilled with the results and can’t wait to get this stuff out there.
